Nearly after two months restaurants, hotels, eateries reopened on June 7. Gyms, salons, public grounds and other commercial establishments also opened today. Mumbai falls in level-3 of the Maharashtra government's five-level 'unlock plan'. Malls, theatres (multiplex as well as single screen) continue to remain shut in Mumbai under Level 3 Unlock rules.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) appealed to citizens not to let their guard down and follow all precautions to check the spread of COVID-19.

With restrictions being eased, Mumbaikars stepped out of their homes to enjoy food at restaurants, hotels, eateries in the city. People were seen at snacks centers, dining hotels in various areas - Mahim, Marine Lines, Malad and more.

As per the orders, restaurants are allowed to remain open till 4 pm, but only with 50 per cent their capacity, however, facilities of parcel, takeaway and home delivery of food will continue. The hotels have been allowed to operate following COVID-10 protocols - mainatining distance, alternate table policy to avoid close contact, santising, etc.
