Exercises for lazy people

The good news is that you can exercise while in bed. Yes, you read that right. Here is a list of eight such exercises.

Lie on your back and bend your knees with your legs hip-width apart. Lift your tailbone and push up until your upper body makes a straight line from your shoulder. Hold the position for 30 seconds, relax and repeat.

Lie flat on your stomach with arms by your sides. Keep your legs straight and lift one leg until it's at a 90-degree angle from your hip. Slowly lower the leg down and repeat from the other leg.

Lie on your stomach with your arms by your side. Now lift both your legs such that they form a 90-degree angle. Do not perform this, if you have a back injury.

Get into a push-up position, balancing on your forearms, instead of your hands. With weight on your forearms and toes, align your elbows under your shoulders. Lift your body and make a straight line from your head to heels. Hold, relax and repeat.

Sit on the bed with your legs extended in front of you and your arms resting by your sides. Bend your knees, keeping your feet flat on the bed. Now press your hands and feet on the bed, lift your hips up towards the ceiling in order to form a straight line with your thighs and torso. Hold, relax and repeat.

The exercise might seem silly but is more challenging than it seems. Extend your legs, raise them slightly, tracing all the alphabets with your big toes. Rest your legs and do the same with your arms.

Lie on your back with your legs straight. Now create a big O using your ankle in the clockwise position. Do this for 20 seconds, and then repeat the movement anticlockwise.
