Champions Mamelodi Sundowns walked away with a huge R15 million for winning the 2020/21 DStv Premiership, while AmaZulu bagged a cool R7.5 million for their runners-up finish.

The Premier Soccer League's DStv sponsorship kicked in at the start of the 2020/21 campaign as they replaced Absa to usher in a new era of South Africa's top-flight football.

According to Soccer Laduma, DStv provided R39.9 million that all the 16 teams will share.

Orlando Pirates, who finished third on the log and will enter the CAF Champions League next season, will cash in on a R3.75 million cheque.

Mandla Ncikazi, who did a phenomenal job at Golden Arrows, will see Abafana Bes'thende collect R2.5 million while cash-strapped Swallows will welcome R1.5 million after the PSL did not approve their deal with telecommunications giant Telkom.

Cape Town City, who on Monday announced a deal with Partizan to become a feeder club for the Serbian giants, will take R1.3 million for their seventh-place finish.
