Owaisi calls on KCR to hold vaccinations for work visa holders

Hyderabad: The whole Indian head of Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslim (AIMIM) and MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Sunday called on Telangana Minister K Chandrashekar Rao COVID-19 vaccination for those who have received job offers from the Gulf countries.

Asaduddin Owaisi said on Twitter and wrote: ‘Many in Hyd have received job offers from abroad, especially the Gulf. Countries demand a vaccination certificate for Covishield. Request @TelanganaCMO to hold a spl wax camp for work visa holders, as is also done for students going abroad. Appropriate certificates can also be issued. ”

Covishield is the only vaccine available in India recognized by the WHO and several other countries.

Saudi Arabia approves Covishield on Sunday COVID-19 vaccine in the country. The Indian embassy in Riyadh has announced that the Gulf nation has recognized Covishield as an equivalent of the AstraZeneca shot.

The Telangana government on Saturday launched a special trip for students who have to go abroad for further studies at the Institute of Preventive Medicine (IPM).

The special vaccination campaign focuses on those who have to leave for their foreign countries. According to media reports, 7,000 students have so far been registered with the department of health.
