New Delhi, Jun7 (UNI) India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday said that a low pressure area was forming in the northern part of Bay of Bengal is to push South West Monsoon further into parts of Odisha, West Bengal, Jharkhand and some parts of Bihar during subsequent two days.
According to the officials in IMD, the new weather condition will bring fairly widespread to widespread rainfall activity very likely over most parts of East India and adjoining Central India from June 10 onwards.
“Isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely over Odisha during June 8-11,over Gangetic West Bengla on 10-11, over Jharkhand on 11 and over East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh on 10-11 while isolated extremely heavy falls also very likely over Odisha on June11. 2021.
National weather bureau also said that due to strengthening of southwesterly winds and other favourable meteorological conditions, a fairly widespread to widespread rainfall activity very likely over Northeastern state during next four five days with isolated heavy rainfall very likely over Arunachal Pradesh on June 7-8, over Assam and Meghalaya during 7-10, over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during 7-9, over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on 7th and 8th June.
Under the influence of the off-shore trough at mean sea level from north Maharashtra coast to north Kerala coast, isolated to fairly widespread rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm and lightning very likely over parts of south peninsular India during next four-five days.
Dust raising strong surface winds 30-40 kmph is very likely to prevail over plains of Northwest India during June 8-10, the IMD added.
