    Torrent Pharma shares gain 0.56% as Sensex rises

    A total of 3,959 shares changed hands on the counter till 01:59PM (IST)

    Shares of the Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd. traded at Rs 2826.4 on BSE at 01:59PM (IST) on Monday, up 0.56 per cent. The stock quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 2232.0 and a high of Rs 3040.0.

    Earlier in the day, the stock saw a gap up opening.

    At the prevailing price, the stock traded at 38.15 times its trailing 12-month EPS of Rs 73.99 per share and 6.92 times its book value, as per BSE data.
    A total of 3,959 shares changed hands on the counter till 01:59PM (IST). The stock commands a market value of Rs 47763.11 crore and is part of the Pharma - Indian industry.

    The scrip has been an underperformer , up 19.34 per cent in the past one year in comparison with a 63.39 per cent gain in Sensex.

    During the day, the stock moved between Rs 2836.8 and Rs 2791.65.

    Promoter/FII Holding
    Promoters held 71.25 per cent in the company as of 31-Mar-2021. FII and MF ownership in Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd. stood at 11.37 per cent and 6.47 per cent, respectively.
