The Haryana government on Sunday extended the lockdown for another week till June 14 while announcing major relaxations, including opening of restaurants, bars, clubs, religious places and extended shopping hours.

Besides gatherings up to 50 persons have also been allowed.

An order of the Chief Secretary Vijai Vardhan said the shopping hours for shopping complexes had been extended from 9 am to 3 pm to from 9 am to 6 pm. The timings for the shopping malls would be 10 am to 8 pm.

Similarly, the restaurants, bars and club houses would be allowed to open from 10 am to 8 pm with 50 per cent capacity. However, the Covid appropriate behaviour, including social distancing and regular sanitation, would have to be observed.


Highlights

Under new lockdown orders, the cap of 11 persons had been extended to 21 persons for the marriage functions and funerals. The marriages/funerals have also been allowed to be conducted outside homes and courts with strictly no movement of baraat procession.

The other functions with a maximum cap of 50 with prior permission of the DC concerned had also been allowed.

The religious places can also open but with a maximum of 21 persons at one time.

The corporate offices can open with a capacity of 50 per cent. The home delivery by restaurants and food joints will be allowed till 10 pm.
