Mahabubabad: Residents of the town of Thorrur are excited about the development of the Nemargommula Yathiraja Rao Park in the city to provide lung space for the locals. While Panchayat Raj and the Minister of Rural Development, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, received 20 million sanctions for the development of Thorrur Municipality of the Telangana Urban Finance Infrastructure Development Corporation (TUFIDC), the park was developed at a cost of 2 million from the fund.
‘With the aim of providing the residents of Thorrur with lung space, we have developed the park into 14 hectares. To my knowledge, no other small town like Thorrur in the state has this kind of beautiful park with various facilities. “We must thank Dayakar Rao for his initiative to develop the city,” Thorrur municipal chairman Mangalampally Ramchandraiah told Telangana Today.
The park has special attractions for children, with various play equipment installed in the park. ‘We developed the park according to the lines of parks developed in metro cities. We set up a garden shed, an open gym, walking path, water fountain and also a beautiful landscape with 85 kinds of flowering, medicinal and ornamental plants, including exotic varieties brought from the Kadiyam nurseries in the East Godavari district, ” said Gunde Babu, municipal commissioner. .
On the other hand, they have also developed the Panchatatva Park where the people can do the acupressure walk, which is based on five natural elements. It consists of eight components, including 20 mm stone, 10 mm stone, 6 mm chip, river stone, coarse sand, tree bark, black soil and water.
