Vidya Balan is without a doubt one of the most versatile actresses in Indian cinema today. Time and again, she has proved her mettle with incredible performances in movies like 'Parineeta', 'The Dirty Picture', 'Tumhari Sulu', 'Kahaani', 'Paa', and several others. Steadily she worked her way up to the top and now she covets a highly respected position among Bollywood A-listers. But things were not always hunky-dory for the actress. She struggled a lot to be where she is today. In fact, there was a time when she was even considered 'jinxed' and filmmakers would refuse to work with her. In an interview some time back, Vidya revealed that her first film was supposed to be with superstar Mohanlal but it never saw the light of the day. She said it was shelved after the first schedule. The director of the film and Mohanlal had made several films together and Vidya was the new addition to their already established equation. Vidya further said that she was labelled as 'jinxed' after that.
