Kolkata: A forensic team will visit Cooch Behar’s Sitalkuchi area after CID found trace of firing in polling booth.

A new development surfaced in the charge sheet of the CID on Sitalkuchi firing following which the forensic team will visit the spot to take a stock of the development.

In the charge by the CID, it is mentioned that bullet marks were found in the classroom that was transformed into a polling booth during the Assembly polls in West Bengal.

“One bullet mark was found on the blackboard and another was on the door,” mentioned the sources in the CID.

Notably, during the fourth phase of Assembly polls on April 10, CISF opened firing at Cooch Behar’s Sitalkuchi area led to the death of four people.

Though the CISF claimed that they were forced to open fire as the people were manhandling them, the ruling Trinamool Congress claimed that the CISF had purposely killed those four people.

The TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee during her poll campaigns claimed that after the election she will take strict action against the firing.
