Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Alirajpur became the first corona-free district in Madhya Pradesh with zero corona case, as well as active case, on Sunday. Burhanpur with zero corona case and 10 active cases is very close to Alirajpur and is in the second position, followed by Khandwa with 18 active cases and 1 corona case. There are 44 districts which have reported below 10 corona cases and are inching towards become corona-free districts in the state.
The number of active cases remained slightly above 10,000 in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday, registering 10,103. Around 1,938 Covid patients were discharged. The state reported 0.9 per cent corona-positive rate.
The state reported 735 corona cases and its tally went up to 785,196 and toll to 8,334. Around 81,636 samples were sent for testing, while 185 samples were rejected.
Indore reported 298 corona cases and its tally went up to 151,570 and toll to 1,355. Bhopal reported 137 corona cases and tally went up to 121,951. Indore’s active cases reduced to 1,509 and Bhopal’s active cases reduced to 2,225.
Other major cities, such as Gwalior and Jabalpur, reported 14 and 56 corona cases, respectively, and their active cases are 332 and 820, respectively.
In addition to Katni, Shivpuri, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Mandala, Guna and Bhind reported 1 corona case each, while their active cases are 73, 26, 43, 20, 108 and 27, respectively. Agar-Malwa reported 2 corona cases with 53 active cases.
Three corona cases have been reported from various districts, such as Sehore, Shahdol, Sidhi, Morena, Dewas, Jhabua and Niwari while their active cases are 141, 80, 141, 168, 53, 37 and 73, respectively.
