Withdraw farm laws: INC

New Delhi, Jun 5 (UNI) Congress on Saturday reiterated its demand to repeal the three contentious farm laws that were enacted last year, saying hundred of farmers have died protesting against these cruel legislations.
"On this day last year the Modi government brought three black ordinances and provided an opportunity to trade agricultural products worth Rs 25 lakh crore annually for its handful of capitalist friends," Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala said here.
He said that the farmers of the country have been protesting for the past year but this "adamant and stubborn" government is not paying heed to their demands. "Due to government's this attitude, over 500 farmers have lost their lives," Mr Surjewala said.
