Neemuch (Madhya Pradesh): The bus operators have demanded to waive transport tax from April to June 2021. They said tax for July, August and September 2021 should be halved.
The decision was taken at a meeting held here on June 5 in which office bearers of their association were present. Those present at the meeting included Ujjain divisional president Govind Baheti and Mandsaur district president Shikhar Chandra Ratadiya.
They have asked MLAs and ministers to take a decision about tax waiver as soon as possible. During the second wave of Covid-19, they could not operate buses due to lockdown. Out of 200 buses in the district, only 5 operated.
Patron Mukesh Gupta, advocate Chanchal Baheti, Mohammad Rafiq attended the district meeting along with Mahesh, Suresh, Vicky Chhabra and other members.
