Usually sankranti and Sumner season are the best times for movie releases. The producers make huge money when their movies release around the said time. However, due to Covid all the plans went down the drain. The only movie that was released and at the same time made some good collections is Powerstar's Vakeel Saab. Luckily there is this new alternative called OTT through which many movies are being released, especially the small budget ones.

Meanwhile, as the third wave is said to be on cards the producers are literally having the worst time ever. If the third wave hits, moviegoers will not come to theaters. The movie releases have to be postponed once again. Until now only small movies were released on OTTs, but if this situation continues big budget movies have no other option other than to set their foot on OTTs. We have to wait and see how many big movies will take the path of OTTs in the coming future.
