According to a police arrest log issued by Willimantic Police Sgt. Lucien Frechette Friday night, Flores, who is 63, was arrested Friday morning.
Protesters accused police of coming after Flores in connection to his activism. "He's out doing a lot of good," Lebanon resident Holly Savitsky said. "He's not doing anything bad. The fact that people are always trying to besmirch his character is outrageous, particularly when they're elected officials."
Protesters started at Jillson Square at 5 p.m. and walked to the Willimantic Police Department police station at 22 Meadow St.
Another protest on Flores' behalf is scheduled for 10 a.m.
