Actor Lisa Banes is in critical condition after a hit-and-run on Friday in New York City.
The Broadway veteran, who is also known for starring in films such as Gone Girl and Cocktail, was meeting her wife Kathryn Kranhold for a dinner party at a friend when she was struck by a scooter or motorcycle "with no plate" at 18:00, The New York Post reports. The driver reportedly ran a red light when he hit the 65-year-old star and drove off.
"There are no arrests, and the investigation remains ongoing," the NYPD DCPI has since confirmed to People.
The 65-year-old, who also appeared on TV in Roseanne, Six Feet Under, Desperate Housewives, and Nashville, is in critical condition with a traumatic brain injury.
Banes was in New York City performing in a virtual adaptation of Eleanor Burgess' The Niceties, presented by Manhattan Theatre Club.
