    When to stop cutting

Sorry for the second thread of the day, but how do you guys know when to stop cutting. My abs and obliques are visible and I have some quad separation, both myself and a few other competitors think that I’m around 13% body fat. I’m 5 ft 6, 162 lbs. I’m going to compete eventually but I personally think I need to put on about 10 lbs of lean mass in order to be successful. I don’t dirty bulk and I’m not planning on bulking past 170ish lbs, so do you think it makes sense to keep dieting? Or would it be better to start reverse dieting

    Thanks!

I would stop now if you have no intention of competing in the near future. Gaining muscle is thought to be easier when you have a cushion of fat to back up your energy needs. You don't have to pile on the weight to gain muscle so you should be able to stay reasonably lean.
