Tamil Nadu effects major reshuffle of police officers

CHENNAI: In the latest reshuffle, the Tamil Nadu government on Saturday assigned at least 25 state police service (SPS) officers as superintendents of police (SPs) in districts and deputy commissioners of police (DCPs) in cities. The posts of 46 police officers have been reshuffled.
SP Dr M Sudhakar has been appointed as the Kancheepuram district superintendent of police, SP Pa Moorthy has been posted as the SP of Tiruchi district, SP P Sundaravadivel has been posted as SP of Karur district, SP S Mani has been posted as the SP of Perambalur district, SP K Feroze Khan Abdullah has been posted as the SP of Ariyalur district, SP VR Srinivasan has been posted as SP of Thiruvarur district, SP G Jawahar, who is on compulsory wait, has been posted as the SP of Nagapatinam district, SP V Baskaran has been posted as the SP of Madurai district, assistant inspector-general of police (AIG) of welfare M Manohar has been posted as the SP of Virudhu Nagar district, SP T Senthil Kumar has been posted as the SP of Sivaganga district.
