Indian Gaur, horned rhinos bring calves to Nehru Zoo

Hyderabad: On the occasion of ‘World Environment Day’, the Nehru Zoological Park is happy to share the good news of the birth of a Unicorn rhino, and
A Gaur calf was born on June 2 and was named ‘Komaram Bheem’ by R.Sobha, Chief Keeper of Forest.

The male calf of One Horned Rhinoceros is named ‘Nanda’ who was born two weeks ago.
R.Sobha said at the event that the Nehru Zoology Park is at the forefront of wildlife conservation and breeding, and the birth of mega-herbivores is worth rejoicing in the otherwise bleak pandemic scenario.
