RBI enhances exposure thresholds to Rs50cr under Resolution Framework 2.0

All other conditions shall remain the same.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Friday decided to enhance the exposure threshold to Rs50cr under Resolution Framework 2.0.

That said, borrowers to whom the lending institutions have aggregate exposure of not more than Rs50cr as of March 31, 2021, and which have not been restructured earlier under any of the specified restructuring frameworks, shall be eligible to be considered for resolution under Resolution Framework 2.0.

All other conditions shall remain the same.

on May 05, RBI had announced Resolution Framework 2.0 to stipulate a maximum aggregate exposure of Rs25cr for considering the resolution of COVID-19 related stress of MSMEs as well as non-MSME small businesses, and loans to individuals for business purposes.

The exposure has been increased to Rs50cr.
