Indore: A team of police and administration raided at Hotel Red Maple under Kishanganj police station late on Friday night. Police said that a party of more than 40 people was organised at the hotel which is not permitted at present as per the orders issued by the administration.
Police station incharge Shahsikant Chaurasiya said that information was received that a gathering had been organised at the hotel.
On reaching the hotel, they found a marriage function had been organised at the place where over 40 people were present, said police.
ASP Puneet Gehlot said that the hotel's main gate was locked from outside and the people had entered inside from the rear entrance. The police team entered inside and found that the people were roaming in the banquet in the hotel without wearing masks and none was following social distancing.
The administration and police officials immediately sealed the hotel and have detained all the people present in the function for violation of the corona curfew.
ASP Gehlot added that police have registered a case against the hotel owner Nishit Jain and other people under Section 188 of IPC. A case under section 151 was registered against the two managers of the restaurant.
