Hyderabad: Chandrayangutta police are fake COVID-19 rocket report

Hyderabad: Police in Chandrayangutta have arrested a head of a diagnostic laboratory for giving a false negative COVID-19 reports. The incident came to light when Y. Nikhil Sai, a police constable, visited the laboratory, called All Care Poly Clinic Diagnostic Center, and was told by a person from there that he could give a negative report, even without taking a nose swab.

According to police, police constable Nikhil was ordered to visit the diagnostic laboratory, where he met a person named Mohd. Ghouse of the All Care Poly Clinic Diagnostic Center, located in Crystal Town Venture, Bandlaguda. Nikhil visited the clinic for a COVID-19 test, and even Ghouse paid Rs.1200 for it via Google Pay.

After consultation, the police constable also provided his Aadhaar card copy. However, Ghouse said he would send a negative report on Whatsapp to Nikhil without collecting any nasal swabs and throat swabs.

Shortly after the scam came to light, the police constable returned to the Chandrayangutta police station and lodged a complaint after the cops acted.
