Now, in response to this, Hrishav, Founder of War Mania came live on Instagram and clarified the discrepancies that happened. He started his live session with the statement,
“This Tournament is originally named as PUBG Mobile India Cup Season 2 but later we changed the name to Battlegrounds Mobile India Cup. We have planned this Tournament with ₹1,00,000 prize pool but after more sponsors joined the event the prize pool increased to ₹1,20,000.”
Let’s take a look at the alligations (by the community) and the clarifications made by the management.
- First Allegation: How War Mania Esports won the first weekly finals? Did the management help them?
Hrishav: “We didn’t give any upper hand to the team or guided them throughout the match by from spectator slots. The team has played from the start of the event and won the first week. We also paid them the winning prize money for the first week.”
- Second Allegation: Caster Mayavi, said, “I was told that I will be casting with 8bit Thug and Ocean Sharma.” Why the management couldn’t bring them as casters?
Hrishav: “I have already talked with 8bit_thug. He said, he will join the event after the release of Battlegrounds Mobile India. If anyone didn’t trust me you can ask Thug directly. I asked thug, “will you be able to cast our fourth week’s matches as that will take place after the game launch. He replied “yes I will do that, but I need to check for the schedule if I am not busy on matchdays.” Ocean Sharma also gave me the same condition as Thug. ”
Third Alligation: Why did you use the name ‘Team Unknown’ to promote the tournament while no such team actually joined the matches?
Hrishav: “I talked with Scout to join our Tournament. He said that he will be playing the event register my team as Team Unknown. During this, we got confirmation from GHATAK that TSM-ENTITY will also join the matches. But the players of TSM-ENTITY were resting at the time of matches and did not wake up. So they couldn’t join the matches.”
