Police said Gawade is a member of the Tamma Kusalkar gang. Pune City Police have arrested a man with a criminal record on the premises of Fergusson College and found a pistol and live cartridges in his possession. The man, Dhananjay Rajendra Gawade (28), is a member of the Tamma Kusalkar gang, said police.
Acting on a tip-off, a Crime Branch team laid a trap and nabbed Gawade on the open ground near the hostel on the premises of Fergusson College.
During the search, police recovered a country-made pistol and two live cartridges from his possession. An offence was lodged against him at the Deccan police station.
