Mumbai reported 973 new COVID-19 infections on June 4, taking the total tally to 7,09,942. The total number of active COVID cases stand at 16,347
The city reported 24 deaths due to coronavirus on Friday which pushed its fatality count to 14,989 as per data released by the city's civic body. 1207 COVID-19 patients recovered and were discharged on Friday taking the recovery count to 6,76,400.
On Friday, 27, 351 tests were conducted, as compared to 37,607 on May 1. May 17 had reported the lowest count rate with just 17,640 tests.
Meanwhile, the doubling rate has increased to 515 days, while the weekly growth rate has dropped to 0.13 per cent. Overall recovery rate stood at 95 percent.
