Chandigarh, June 3

In a representation to UT Administrator VP Singh Badnore, industrials have sought a relief package for the industry due to the Covid-19 pandemic and also called for an immediate meeting of the Empowered Industrial Advisory Committee.

Chaired by UT Adviser Manoj Parida, the committee is the apex body for resolving the problems and framing policies related to the industry.

Naveen Manglani, president, Chamber of Chandigarh Industries, said various problems being faced by the industrials need to be examined in detail to prevent further deterioration of businesses and job losses.

The industry has also sought a special vaccination camp with on the spot registration for industrial workers in the age group 18-44 years.
