NEW DELHI: From Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn and Hrithik Roshan to Alia Bhatt, Janhvi and Arjun Kapoor—several celebrities have bought new apartments at the time of the Covid-19 pandemic.

HRITHIK ROSHAN

Hrithik Roshan has bought two new apartments of Rs 100 crore. The actor already owns a sea-facing apartment in Juhu. According to a media report, with two new apartments, Hrithik has planned to make a “mansion-in-the-air.”

AJAY DEVGN

The actor bought a 590 square-yards mansion worth Rs 60 crore in Juhu. The new building is close to his current bungalow—Shakti—which is located in Juhu.

AMITABH BACHCHAN

Amitabh Bachchan reportedly bought a swanky duplex apartment, which is worth Rs 31 crore. He already owns four bungalows in Mumbai—Pratiksha, Janak, Vatsa and Jalsa. He currently lives with his family in Jalsa.

ALIA BHATT

As per media reports, actor Alia Bhatt has bought a new apartment at the Pali Hill area in Mumbai’s Bandra. The apartment measuring 2,460 sq ft in the Vastu Pali Hill building, where her rumoured beau Ranbir Kapoor already has his bachelor’s pad, is reportedly worth Rs 32 crore.

ANUSHKA SHARMA & VIRAT KOHLI

Ahead of welcoming their daughter Vamika, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma were spotted checking out their latest home in Juhu. Their new apartment is reportedly worth Rs 34 crore.

JANHVI KAPOOR

As per media reports, actress Janhvi Kapoor recently bought a plush home in Mumbai worth Rs 39 crore. As per the same report, the new home of Janhvi is spread across three floors in a Juhu building.

AYUSHMANN KHURRANA

According to a report, Ayushmann Khurrana has bought a home worth Rs 9 crore for his family in Panchkula near Chandigarh.

Television actor Karan Mehra, who played the role of an ideal father and a doting husband in one of the country’s longest running daily soaps, has been accused of beating his wife. Nisha Rawal, who is also a famous TV actor and a model, alleged that her husband Karan hit her after a fight on monday night.

Mehra was arrested on Tuesday morning and was, however, shortly granted bail.

The Goregaon Police has filed a case against him under Indian Penal Code (IPC) section 336 (endangering human life or the personal safety others), 337 (causing hurt by an act which endangers human life), 332 (voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from his duty), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation).

There were rumours of a rift between the two had been around for more than a month to which the couple had denied.

Rawal has appeared in multiple TV commercials, including those for Coca Cola, Sunsilk shampoo, among others. She has also acted in a few Bollywood movies.

The couple was also seen together on television in a dance reality show ‘Nach Baliye’.

WASHINGTON : Friendly exes Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott spent a “happy” family weekend with their 3-year-old daughter Stormi after sparking dating rumours. The fashion mogul took to her Instagram handle and shared a sneak peek into the water balloon fight the couple had with their daughter Stormi, during their visit with the rapper’s family in Houston. The pair and their daughter are celebrating Memorial Day with the rapper’s family in Houston, a source told People Magazine. During their stay, Jenner, and Scott, had a friendly water balloon fight, which can be seen in Jenner’s Instagram stories. The videos see Stormi and her rapper dad team up to take on Jenner, who runs away from the balloons while recording the playful fight. At one point, Scott successfully hits Jenner with a water balloon which makes their daughter laugh adorably. “Kylie and Travis continue to spend a lot of quality family time together,” the source told People Magazine. 

WASHINGTON : It’s not only the fans of the beloved sitcom ‘Friends’ who are still reminiscing the reunion special, but also the Emmy-winning star Jennifer Aniston, who is recalling her ‘emotional’ return to the sets of the show almost after 17 years.

People Magazine reported that Aniston recently appeared on Gayle King’s SiriusXM show, where she opened up about stepping onto the set of the iconic sitcom again for the first time in 17 years. “It was a sucker punch in the heart in a way,” Aniston said of the experience, which was filmed for ‘Friends: The Reunion’, now streaming on HBO Max.

She went on to explain that being in that space took an emotional toll on everyone, not just her. “It was for all of us, I think. Even Courteney [Cox] we got tears out of! And I don’t even know she’s so, you know, not emotional,” the 52-year-old actor said.

Aniston told King that everyone was excited to return to the sets like, “This is going to be so fun to walk onto the set and they’re bringing all of the sets out from storage and putting it all back together. We romanticised it.”

Aniston played Rachel Green in ‘Friends’, which originally aired for 10 seasons on NBC from 1994 to 2004. The beloved sitcom followed the story of six friends in their 20s and 30s who live in Manhattan, New York City.

ITANAGAR : Bollywood actor Kriti Sanon who wrapped the shoot for her upcoming film Bhediya in Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh, right before the second lockdown was imposed, shared an adorable BTS image with a local child from the city. She took to her Instagram Story and posted the picture as she spent some happy moments with the locals at the beautiful location. The photo sees Sanon in a plain mint green tracksuit holding the cute girl while exuding happiness as the duo smilingly glare into the lens. The photo also read, “#ziro diaries”.

Starring Kriti Sanon, Varun Dhawan, Abhishek Banerjee, and Deepak Dobriyal, the story is written by National Award Winner, Niren Bhatt who also wrote scripts for ‘Bala’, ‘Made In China’, ‘Wrong Side Raju’. The film is slated to release in cinemas on 14 April 2022. 

NEW DELHI: National Award-winning actor Manoj Kumar got nostalgic on Tuesday while remembering his iconic black-and-white movie Woh Kaun Thi?, which completed 57 years in the Indian cinema.

The veteran star took to his Twitter handle and shared the poster of his 1964 iconic thriller drama co-starring Sadhana Shivdasani. Along with the poster, he wrote, “Dekhte hi dekhte 57 saal poore ho gaye, lagta hai jese kal parso ki baat hai!!”

Woh Kaun Thi? gave the most iconic songs to Indian cinema, including the Lata Mangeshkar crooned ‘Lag Ja Gale’ and ‘Naina Barse Rimjhim’.

‘Woh Kaun Thi?’ that was released on 1 June 1964, was directed by Raj Khosla and bagged many accolades. Apart from Sadhana and Manoj, the movie also featured Helen and Prem Chopra in lead roles.
