Bangladesh cotton imports expected to rise in MY 2021-22: TexPro

The cotton imports of Bangladesh are expected to rise by 1.33 per cent in marketing year (MY) 2021-22 over the previous year due to a higher demand for locally spun yarn. Bangladesh is one of the leading exporters of cotton apparel in the world. The cotton production in the country is not very significant, and thus it depends heavily on cotton imports.
