Hanumantha Rao opposes Revanth Reddy’s appointment as TPCC president

Hyderabad: Senior Telangana Congress leader and former MP V Hanumantha Rao on Thursday complained to MP Revanth Reddy and opposed his appointment as president of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC).

Rao said that how a leader who has a note for ‘voting’ and ‘money laundering’ against him can become the TPCC president and demand a review meeting held by the Congressman to consider the opinion of senior Congress leaders in the choice to know the new TPCC president.

The Congress leader told ANI: ‘People from Telangana are now focusing more on corruption. Recently, a leader of the ruling party, Etela Rajender, was removed from his position after accusing the country. How can it be if someone who has Noot’s accusations of voting and money laundering against him becomes the TPCC president. ”

He said the Congress party, despite the loss in several recent elections, did not hold a review meeting.

“I demand the Head of Congress to call all the senior leaders to Delhi and take the view to elect the next TPCC president,” Rao said.

The Congress leader also claimed that he had received threatening calls over the past few days and blamed Congress leader Revanth Reddy for this action.

‘On June 1, I received a threatening call, and earlier I received two threatening calls to express my opinion on nominating Revanth Reddy of Congress as the new Congress Committee of Telangana Pradesh. “Against earlier threats, I registered police cases,” Rao told ANI.

‘Immediately after Revanth Reddy joined Congress, he was given the post of acting president of TPCC, despite the defeat of Revanth Reddy in the Warangal election as then MLA. “8 Congress leaders, including Revanth Reddy, who lost during the MLA election, were included in the names recommended as members of parliament,” the Congress leader said.

‘My name was not on the list for MP. I was silent the whole time as all the positions were taken away. “But today I raised my voice because I received threatening calls, and abusive language is against my use in those calls,” he said.

“Despite all the work I have done, how can anyone criticize me. “No one from the party, except for Jana Reddy, condemned the insulting call I received,” he added.
