Ankur Bhatia Passes Away At 48

He was the person who will be remembered for shaping up the Indian tourism and hospitality sector. In 1994, he brought one of the travel tech brands Amadeus to the Indian markets.

Ankur Bhatia, Promoter and Executive Director of Bird Group died on Friday due to a massive cardiac attest. He was 48. As per sources, he was tested positive for the novel coronavirus in June. He left behind wife Smriti Bhatia, an architect, and his two children - Arnav and Saina.

Bhatia anchored the growth of the Bird Group in the hospitality sector. He built world-class hospitality assets include Roseate Hotels and Resorts. He was the best speaker to talk about how the industry can be revived back to normalcy against the current pandemic crisis.

During an interview with BW Businessworld, he said that there will be an abundance of opportunity for the leisure segment as people have been confined in their places for a long time. A person who understood the industry insight out has abandoned today.

Bhatia prepared and implemented blue ocean strategies that strengthened the overall brand proposition and gave it a boost in the business.
