South Korean boy band BTS members RM and Jimin have reportedly purchased new apartments which account of the most expensive houses in the country.

According to a report by real estate magazine Sky Daily, their new address is at Nine One Hannam apartment complex located in central Seoul.

RM paid around 6.36 billion won which is Rs 41.1 crore, whereas Jimin shelled out 5.9 billion won which comes around Rs 38.5 crore.

Meanwhile, BTS's new single "Butter" has made it to the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The septet comprises of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.

"Butter" is their fourth chart-topping single to date. This makes them the first group to have a trio of number one entrances as well as the fastest group to run their first four number one singles since The Jackson 5 in 1970.

"We released 'Butter" to bring a fun song that anyone can enjoy. We're happy and honoured that the song reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 again. We wouldn't have gotten our fourth chart topping song without everyone's love and support. Thank you for enjoying 'Butter' and we will keep working hard to deliver refreshing and passionate music," the group said in a statement.

"Butter" became the most streamed song in a single day in the history of Spotify, amassing 20.9 million global streams on the first day.

The music video of the song set an all-time record of 108.2 million views in 24 hours, and the biggest music video premiere on YouTube with 3.9 million peak concurrent.

Their trials and tribulations, as they went from a one-room dorm in Seoul to the mega HYBE building in 2020 is the stuff of legend.

Along the way their hardships -- of sometimes making it through the week with just Bulgogi (fire meat) to distributing posters on the streets of L.A. for their first concert in the US -- that saw few takers in 2014, to today's phenomenal chartbusters -- ON (February 2020), Dynamite, Life Goes On, Film out, and Butter (within the span of just over one year) -- is a journey they have shared with the fans on Bangtan Gayo, RUN-BTS (an absolute stress buster), BTS in the SOOP, among others.

The rise of the band has been a phenomenon that has not only reorganised the contemporary mainstream music scene all over the world, but has also defined the shifting socio-politics of showbusiness.
