Hyderabad: A family of four was found hanged

Hyderabad: A couple and their two children were found dead after a fight with a neighbor over alleged misconduct with a girl.

P. Bhikshapathi, a driver of the autorickshaw, his wife, their son and daughter were found in their residence in West Gandhi Nagar on Friday under the boundaries of the Keesra Police Station of Rachakonda Police Commissariat.

Bhikshapathi and his family allegedly took the extreme step after not bearing the humiliation. Bhikshapathi was beaten and his tricycle was damaged by a neighbor on Thursday night for allegedly carrying him with a girl.

The incident took place in the Nagaram municipality in Medchal Malkajgiri district on the outskirts of Hyderabad. Police moved the bodies to the government’s Osmania Hospital for autopsy.

Family members of the family tried to stop the police from moving the bodies and demanding that those responsible for the suicide be arrested.

Police have registered a case of deaths under suspicious circumstances and are investigating. A suicide note allegedly written by Bhikshapathi was also recovered by police.

J. Narender Gold, police inspector, said clues were collected from the scene and an investigation is underway.

Police recorded statements from the relatives of the deceased. Bhikshapathi, who hails from Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, recently moved to Medchal district and drove with an authority to make money.
