RATLAM (MADHYA PRADESH): Staff, traders, hammal and tulawati here received anti-corona vaccines on the Krishi Upaj Mandi (KUM) premises, as the auction of garlic and onion crops is slated to commence on June 4. SDM Abhishek Gehlot was present.
Activities as KUM were suspended due to second wave of Covid-19 pandemic. Onion auction will be held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday while Garlic auction will be held on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Farmers can register on mobile number 89827-39812 and 93404-21949 between 11 am to1 pm daily. After registration, farmers will receive an SMS informing them as when they need to turn up at the KUM with their crop.
Only one hundred farmers will be permitted to take part in the auction per day, said an official. Covid protocol will have to be followed.
