Nagda: The vaccination drive is going at a slow pace in rural areas of Nagda.
Sub-divisional officer Ashutosh Goswami said that on Thursday, 800 co-vaccine vaccines were received for 4 vaccination centres, including Unhel, for people above 18.
In 63 Gram Panchayats under Nagda section of Khachrod Janpad Panchayat, 27 per cent of the villagers above 45 have been vaccinated while the percentage of those above 18, who have been vaccinated is only 1.1%.
The villagers are being motivated for vaccination; collector Ashish Singh has issued important directives in this regard during a virtual meeting on Wednesday.
Goswami said that so far 8,341 out of the 30,329 villagers above 45 have been vaccinated while 575 out of 50,061 people above 18 have been vaccinated.
Before the third wave, we are motivating the vllagers to get vaccinated, he added.
Secretary, ASHA workers and other office bearers working in the panchayats, where 100 per cent vaccination is held, would be rewarded.
Block medical officer Dr Kamal Solanki, officer of Women and Child Development Department Mukesh Verma, food officer Dayma, officials of Education Department and NAPA attended the meet.
