Lumen starts USD 1 billion notes offering

Lumen Technologies is offering USD 1 billion worth of unsecured 5.375 percent senior notes due 2029. The company said it will use the money to pay back its outstanding 6.45% senior notes (series S) due 2021, together with cash on hand. Money left over will go towards general corporate purposes.
