Malayalam actress Remya Suresh lodged complaint with the cyber cell after morphed pornographic content featuring her face were being circulated on social media.
According to a report by News18, a Facebook video shows Remya's look-alike, however, upon close inspection it was revealed that the clip has been doctored.
The actress lodged a complaint with the office of the Superintendent of Police in Alappuzha, followed by another one with the cyber cell.
Remya said that the officers who took her complaint supported her and initiated probe by immediately collecting data of the WhatsApp group including the person who shared it as well as the admin.
The actress told the news portal that she has no idea how many people have watched the clip.
She said, “How can I reach out to every single person and tell that they are not seeing me in that video clip? This video would have taken a toll on my mental peace, had I believed it is showing me.”
