We all know that ZEE5 managed to grab the streaming rights of 'RRR' for an exorbitant price. 'RRR' is one of the most anticipated movies and the movie is expected to release in theaters in October 2021. But due to the ongoing COVID crisis situation, we could be seeing an unprecedented never seen before direct-to-OTT release on ZEE5.

'RRR' is one of the most anticipated movies and the movie is expected to release in theaters in october 2021. But due to the ongoing COVID crisis situation, we could be seeing an unprecedented never seen before direct-to-OTT release on ZEE5.


Which hasn’t been attempted by any other streaming platform, except for HBOMax. 'RRR' movie has been crafted on a massive budget of Rs.400 Crores and no movie made on such a mammoth budget made it to OTT directly for streaming before, except for 'Wonder Woman 1984'. The Wonder Woman sequel film, itself had a massive budget of USD 200 million, and its direct release on HBOMax last year is the biggest direct-to-OTT release to date. Now, 'RRR' might join along with 'WW84'. 


The beta version of the streaming platform is already available in the US, so once ‘RRR’s’ streaming date gets set, the official launch of ZEE5 in the US will get an even bigger boost. The theaters across the Nation are shut down and there are no signs of reopening the theaters in near future. We are just 3 months away, and if the Nation does much better, there might be some changes in the OTT streaming, else 'RRR' might join along with 'Wonder Woman 84'.
