KHACHROD (UJJAIN DISTRICT): On day-1, of unlock process in Khachrod village of Ujjain district, MP Anil Firojia, higher education minister Mohan Yadav, ex-MLA Dilip Singh Shekhawat and district crisis management committee (DCMC) members met and revised the arrangements for opening of shops.

After the meet held on June 1 the civic body made announcement at around 9 pm that shops in the market areas will open during unlock.

As the announcement did not mention anything about the shops situated in the narrow lanes or localities the small shops operators were left in lurch.

Ujjain collector issued unlock guidelines in the district following the district crisis management committee recommendation on May 31 after consulting with the local traders.

The traders agreed to open shops on left right pattern. The said order was followed on June 1.

But the arrangement was changed after the meeting on June 1.

Small shop owners said that it is injustice with them as now the shops in localities or narrow lanes will open for seven days and we are allowed to run our business for only three days a week.

Traders also questioned the role of local politicians and district crisis management committee members. They asked as to who allowed the revision of previous orders and under whose pressure?
