SAILANA (RATLAM DISTRICT): With an arrest of four, Sailana police claimed to have cracked the theft which occurred at Sailana RTO Barrier.

Sailana police claimed that 4 out of 8 accused involved in the theft were arrested and search for others is on.

Those arrested are identified as Durgesh Meena, a resident of Sailana, Sunesh Katara, a resident of Kesarpura village, Shyamlal Bheel and Ramlal Meena, both resident of Kalwani.

Police recovered Rs 51,000, one dragger and one sword from their possession.

The accused targeted RTO barrier after snapping power connection on May 27 at around 2 am and took away Rs 1.95 lakh kept in the almirah.

Barrier staff told police that as soon as the light of the barrier was turned off, the employees present in the barrier woke up and came out to ascertain the cause of the power failure.

They found that eight-to-10-armed people are entering inside the barrier, seeing the armed people. When they left the employees mustered courage and went inside to assess the loss.

They alleged that money kept in the almirah and the receipt book was missing along with the bag. They reported matter to Sailana police station on the same and within a week four out of eight accused were arrested by police.
