Actress Ankita Lokhande on Thursday informed her fans that she has decided to take a break from social media for some time.
Ankita's post read, "It’s not a goodbye, it’s a see you later." The post led to assumptions that the actress is leaving social media for a while.
Also, while Ankita hasn't elaborated on the reasons behind her sadness, or her decision to take a step back from social media, many fans have drawn a connection to the one-year anniversary of Sushant Singh Rajput's death.
One user in the comments section noted that Ankita's announcement comes 'exactly a year' after Sushant shared his last post on Instagram.
Sushant's last post, which he shared on June 3, 2020, was in remembrance of his late mother. Sharing a collage of their pictures, he had written in the caption, "Blurred past evaporating from teardrops, Unending dreams carving an arc of smile, And a fleeting life, negotiating between the two... Ma."
On June 1, Ankita had also posted a story on Instagram and wrote 'June' with a broken heart emoji.
The actress had also shared several old videos and pictures from her TV show Pavitra Rishta as it clocked 12 years recently. The videos also lead actor Sushant.
In fact, Sushant and Ankita had first met on the sets of Pavitra Rishta and fell in love. Soon after they started dating. They dated for six long years before calling it quits in 2016.
After Sushant's death, Ankita supported his family and shared many memories with him on social media.
Meanwhile, ahead of the actor's death anniversary, his sister Shweta Singh Kirti has informed about her spiritual plans to pay homage to the late actor.
Taking to her social media handles, Shweta shared that she will be going on a solitary retreat for the whole month of June to spend her brother’s 'one year of passing'. She said that she will cherish Sushant's sweet memories in silence.
Sushant was found dead in his apartment in Mumbai on June 14, 2020. Early investigations by the Mumbai Police concluded that he had died by suicide.
The CBI had taken over his case on the instruction of the Supreme on August 19.
Sushant's father KK Singh had filed a complaint against actress Rhea Chakraborty, her family members and others and accused them of abetment to suicide. She, along with her brother Showik Chakraborty, went to jail but was released sometime back in a drug case that followed.
Along with the CBI, ED and NCB teams are currently investigating the case.
