Portugal's EDP deploys Vodafone Portugal's Visual Assistance

Portuguese utility and energy company EDP has deployed Vodafone Visual Assistance, Vodafone Portugal's solution powered by TechSee, at multiple EDP subsidiaries for consumers and field technicians. Vodafone Visual Support enables consumers and technicians to receive augmented-reality based visual guidance through their smartphones, using a patented browser-based technology. This allows agent empowerment, decreases technical dispatches, and has delivered improved margins and increased sales, as well as reduced service costs, the companies said.
