HUL’s Apratim Majumder has been appointed as the Chief Marketing Officer(CMO) of direct to consumer(D2C) startup MyGlamm that manufactures beauty products. Darpan Sanghvi, founder & CEO of, MyGlamm is quite excited about the Majumder appointment. He believes that Majumder’s 15+ years of experience in fast-moving consumer goods(FMCG) sectors will help the startup to focus on consumer management.
Majumder Joins MyGlamm, a Growing Beauty Startup
Apratim Majumder is all set to join MyGlamm as the CMO. He was working in Hindustan Unilever Limited as the head of the Naturals products category. His rich experience in the natural products field will be beneficial for MyGlamm operations. MyGlamm claims that it produces cruelty-free vegan products for its consumers.
As per the reports, Majumder’s job profile will be focused on the planning, development, and execution of the company’s marketing and advertising initiatives. Since Majumder was also responsible for the beauty and personal care products under Lever Ayush, MyGlamm believes that his natural products experience in HUL is directly connected with the startup’s natural offerings that are already popular among its consumers.
MyGlamm is one of the rising brands in the beauty and skincare category. Darpan Sanghavi Founded the startup in 2017. The startup offers 600+ beauty and care products to its users directly. Within four years, the firm has established itself in 70+ major cities of India. It has 10,000+ point of sales(PoS) across th2 nation.
In March 2021, the startup raised Rs 175 crore in a Series C financing round from its investors including Ascent Capital, Amazon, and Wipro Consumer. Series C funding round helped MyGlamm to reach a valuation of $100 million. By the end of 2021, Company wants to increase its PoS from the existing 10,000+ to 25,000.
