No Class XII state board exams: Maharashtra makes it official after SDMA’s nod

A day after the state Cabinet determined to cancel Class XII state board examinations, the federal government on Thursday made a proper announcement following a go-ahead from the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA).
The SDMA, which is headed by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, gave the ultimate approval to the proposal submitted by the state faculty schooling division on Wednesday.
Minister for Relief and Rehabilitation Vijay Wadettiwar, who can also be a member of SDMA, stated that the authority authorised the proposal on Thursday.
School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad stated that to make sure well being and security of scholars and to take care of uniformity in evaluation of assorted boards in Maharashtra, the federal government has formally taken a choice to cancel Class XII state board exams.
“The state board’s assessment policy for Class XII students and the date of the declaring results will be announced soon. We are committed to evaluating students accurately,” she advised mediapersons.
Due to the second wave of Covid-19, the state authorities had earlier postponed state board exams of lessons X and XII scheduled to start from April 23 and April 30, respectively.
Gaikwad stated that lecturers, non-teaching staffers and college students, who’re showing for the examination, ought to be given the standing of “frontline workers” and get desire in vaccination.
