Thiruvananthapuram, Jun 3 (UNI) CPI(M) acting State Secretary A Vijayarahavan on Thursday demanded the resignation of Kerala BJP president K Surendran and former Kerala BJP president and Union Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan for their alleged links with controversial black money case.
Both the BJP leaders must resign and face investigation by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Kodakara black money robbery case, A Vijayaraghavan said in a press release.
There are clear evidences against the role of BJP leaders in black money case and handing over of money to Janadhipathya Rashtreeya Party (JRP) leader CK Janu for bringing her into the BJP fold showing the degradation of a national party which follows dirty politics, he alleged.
The Kodakara black money robbery case was happened with the full knowledge of party's state leaders especially K Surendran and V Muraleedharan, he charged.
BJP, a party that came to power by promising to eradicate black money, was trying to sabotage previous Assembly election process by spending black money in Kerala, he added.
Hence, BJP's union minister V Muraleedharan has no right to continue in power. There are allegations that BJP candidates those who are very close to K Surendran and V Muraleedharan have been also involved in unlawful transactions of crores of rupees in their respective Assembly constituencies during the poll campaigns.
According to the latest information, just two-three days before the election date, Rs 40 lakh was handed over to CK Janu who contested as NDA candidate from Sulthan Bathery in Wayanad district, he revealed.
The CPI(M) leader also expressed doubt that whether a few leaders of certain cast organisations who extended support to the BJP two days before the polling have accepted black money in crores from the BJP leaders.
