Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A man has been arrested by a task force for allegedly trying to sell banned cotton seeds in the Dahegaon Center on Monday night.
A total of 150 kg of seed worth Rs 3 lakh was recovered from him. Task Force Inspector Rana Prathap said the accused was Abdul Basheer, a resident of Dahegaon headquarters.
Basheer was found to have stored three bags containing the forbidden seeds, and he was ready to sell them to gullible farmers when the assailants raided his house, following a tip. Basheer was handed over to Dahegaon police to take further action. A case has been registered against him. Investigations were recorded.
