COVID-19: MP’s body count rises to 8,112

Bhopal, June 1 (UNI) The fatality figure owing to the ‘millennium scourge’ touched 8,112 in Madhya Pradesh where 45 more demises were reported on Tuesday even as the infection aggregate reached 7,81,108 with 1,078 fresh instances being detected during analysis of 69,649 specimens.
A Health Services Directorate bulletin pegged the number of active cases at 20,303 and the incidence rate was 1.5 per cent. Indore District continued to have the dubious distinction of recording the highest number of 362 fresh sufferers, Bhopal 221, Jabalpur 98, Gwalior 41, Ratlam 24, Sagar 15, Rewa and Dhar 14 each, Khargone 12, Ujjain and Betul nine each, etc. Alirajpur’s number was zero.

The silver lining is that 7,52,693 individuals recuperated.
