Nokia, NetNordic to provide private 5G-ready network to Equinor

Nokia and systems integrator NetNordic have entered a framework agreement to provide a private 4G and 5G-ready network to Norwegian oil, gas and wind power producer Equinor, known until 2018 as Statoil. The eight-year agreement includes hardware, software, design, radio planning, implementation and support. The private LTE network will be installed this summer at Dudgeon and Sheringham Shoal windfarms in the UK.
