Hyderabad: Director-General of Police, Mahender Reddy, warned on Tuesday that repeated offenders of the closure will be dealt with severely.
The DGP spoke to the media after investigating the implementation of the closure in Kukatpally and surrounding areas, saying the government had expanded the closure in the best interests of the people.
“We can not just set a lock and remain silent. It is equally important to see that it is well implemented to achieve the desired results. And the responsibility lies with the police. And the police are working very hard to comply with the closure restrictions, ‘he said, adding that there were repeated offenders who ventured without valid reasons.
“Such people will be treated harshly. “Their vehicles will be seized and matters will be discussed without any doubt,” said Reddy. Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar, DCP M Venkateshwarlu, Madhapur and others were present.
