Covid-19 group helps those who need oxygen, food and plasma

Hatpipliya (Dewas district, Madhya Pradesh): Sunil Purohit, called Oxygen Man by residents here, has been working day and night relentlessly to serve people in these tough corona times. “My religion is humanity,” says Purohit who has been working continuously to provide bread to hungry, water to thirsty and oxygen cylinders to those who need them for past two months.

Purohit didn’t care about night and day and arranged oxygen cylinders for the needy even till 2 am when there was an oxygen crisis in the area. Consequently, people started calling him Oxygen Man.

He created a group Covid-19 comprising 180 members. People from Ujjain, Dewas and Indore and nearby rural areas joined the group. The group helps people in urban and rural areas.

When the lockdown was imposed and oxygen shortage surfaced, local residents were confident that “Sunil Bhaiya” will help them. And they started calling him on his mobile phone. The trust of the people made Sunil work harder for them.
