Imphal, May 31 2021: The Forerunner has thanked Chief Minister N Biren Singh for 'strengthening' the medical fraternity of Tamenglong district.

In a statement, the Forerunner said that issuance of the posting order of 2 specialist doctors and 4 medical officers at the district hospital, Tamenglong coincided with the Chief Minister's recent visit to the hospital.

The Forerunner also thanked Tamenglong DC Armstrong and CMO (i/c) Dr G Majachungliu for their effort in fulfilling the wish of the people of Tamenglong by strengthening the health infrastructure and aiming to provide basic health service to all.

The statement also acknowledged the commitment of the United Women Organisation and Human Rights Law Network for their ceaseless and progressive approach towards bringing all-round development in the district.

They have filed a PIL at Manipur High Court to upgrade the district hospital and the issuance of the posting order of additional doctors was the fruit of their work, it added.
